THE CONCEPT OF HUMAN DIGNITY AS A HINDRANCE TO UNDERSTANDING THE LINK BETWEEN HUMAN RIGHTS AND THE PROFESSION OF SOCIAL WORK: THE POSSIBILITY OF A SOCIAL WORK PROFESSION BASED ON HUMAN RIGHTS
Abstract
The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between social work and human rights in the context of human rights. In this framework, how the concept of human dignity, which is a requirement of the idea of human rights, has been defined since the day it emerged will be stated and what the concept of human dignity means in the context of human rights. It will be explained how human rights are defined in the USA, where it is not accepted as a professional value for social service professions, and in countries where it is accepted as a social service professional value. The possibility of a social service profession based on human rights will be discussed in the context of the current situation in Turkey.
