The aim of this study is to analyze the emphathy skills of 60-66 months children, who attend to preschool education, in terms of mothers' emphathy skill levels. This study, which shows the relationship between mothers' and children's emphaty skill levels, is a survey model. The working group of this study consists of 106 mothers, who have 60-66 months children, and their children. While emphathic skill scale B form and personal information form were carried out to mothers in order to define mothers' and children's demographic information, emphathic skill measurement was carried out to children synchronously. The analysis of the data was done with SPSS 18.0 pocket programme but in order to define the relationship between mothers' and children's emphaty skill levels, it was tested by using Pearson correlation analysis and obtained analysis result was commented. As a result of the research, it is stated that as samples, 60-66 months preschool children's emphathic skill levels are high but their mothers' emphatic skill levels are in medium level and there is no meaningful relationship between children's and their mothers' emphathic skill levels
ÖZET: Bu çalışmanın amacı okul öncesi kuruma giden 60-66 aylık çocukların empati becerilerinin anne empati beceri düzeyleri açısından incelenmesidir. Anne empati beceri düzeyleri ile çocukların empati becerileri arasındaki ilişkiyi gösteren bu çalışma tarama modelindedir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu 60-66 ay çocuğa sahip 106 anne ve çocukları oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada annelere Empatik Beceri Ölçeği B Formu ve anne ve çocukların demografik bilgilerini belirlemek için Kişisel Bilgi Formu uygulanırken, eş zamanlı olarak çocuklara Empatik Beceri Ölçümü uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analizi SPSS 18.0 paket programıyla anne empati beceri düzeyi ile çocukların empati beceri düzeyi arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemek için ise pearson korelasyon analizi kullanılarak sınanmış ve elde edilen analiz sonucu yorumlanmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda; örnekleme alınan 60-66 aylık okul öncesi dönem çocuklarının empatik beceri düzeylerinin yüksek olduğu, bu dönem çocuklarının annelerinin empatik beceri düzeylerinin orta düzeyde olduğu ve çocuklar ile annelerinin empatik beceri düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmadığı saptanmıştır.
