Dış Kulak Yolunda Tümöral Lezyon: Rabdomyosarkom

Abstract

Pediatrik hastalarda sarkomlar, kulak ve temporal kemiğin sık görülen malign tümörlerindendir. Bu grup içerisinde en sık görülen rabdomyosarkomlardır. Rabdomyosarkom, özelikle 5 yaş altı çocuklarda en sık karşılaşılan yumuşak doku tümörüdür. En sık embriyonel rabdomyosarkom alt tipi görülmektedir. Has-ta klinik olarak, genellikle tedaviye yanıt vermemiş orta kulak veya dış kulak yolu enfeksiyonu hikaye-si ile başvurmaktadır. Bu makalede tekrarlayan otit hikayesi olan, yeni başlayan periferik fasiyal paralizi nedeniyle kliniğimize refere edilen ve cerrahide alınan biyopsi sonucu rabdomyosarkom olarak gelen 4 yaşında bir çocuk hastamız tartışılmıştır.

Tumoral Lesion In The External Ear Canal : Rhabdomyosarcoma

Abstract

Sarcomas are common malignant tumors of the ear and temporal bone in pediatric patients. Rhabdomyo-sarcomas are the most common in this group. Rhabdomyosarcoma is the soft tissue tumor especially in children under 5 years of age. The embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma subtype is the most common. Clinical-ly, the patient usually presents with a history of middle ear or outer ear infection that has not responded to treatment. In this article, we discuss a 4-year-old pediatric patient with a history of recurrent otitis media, who was referred to our clinic because of new-onset peripheral facial paralysis and whose biopsy result was rhabdomyosarcoma.
