Abstract

Proliferation of endometrial glands that may progress to endometrial carcinoma is defined as endometrial hyperplasia. Chronic estrogen stimulation unopposed by the counterbalancing effects of progesterone is always the main cause of endometrial hyperplasia. The diagnosis is most commonly made in woman age 55 to 64 years and rarely was found in women less than age 30. Endometrial hyperplasia is categorized in four groups: simple hyperplasia without atypia, complex hyperplasia without atypia, simple atypical hyperplasia, complex atypical hyperplasia. Diagnosis of endometrial hyperplasia is based on the results of an endometrial biopsy. Women with atypical endometrial hyperplasia who completed childbearing should be treated with hysterectomy.

ENDOMETRİAL HİPERPLAZİ

Abstract

Endometriyal karsinoma ilerleyebilen endometriyal bez proliferasyonu endometriyal hiperplazi olarak tanımlanmaktadır. Progesteronun dengeleme etkisi ile karşılanmamış kronik östrojen stimülasyonu sıklıkla endometriyal hiperplazinin esas sebebidir. Sıklıkla 55-64 yaşlar arasındaki kadınlarda tanı konmaktadır ancak nadiren 30 yaş altı kadınlarda da tanı konabilir. Endometriyal hiperplazi 4 grupta kategorize edilir: basit atipisiz hiperplazi, kompleks atipisiz hiperplazi, basit atipili hiperplazi, kompleks atipili hiperplazi. Endometriyal hiperplazi tanısı endometriyal biyopsi sonucu temeline dayanır. Doğurganlığını tamamlamış ve atipik endometriyal hiperplazisi olan kadınlar histerektomi ile tedavi edilebilir.
