Abstract
Television
programmes have many positive and negative effects on the sex role acquisition
ofvchildren. There can be found quite a number of researches on the effect of
television. By this study it is intended to provide information about the
researches done on the effects of television and the different types of TV
programmes belonging to some researchers about sex role acquisition. Considering
the results of all such studies, it is observed that televjsion programmes are
really effective on sex role acquisition of children. Thus, television
programmes be inspected and controlled properly so as to be careful and
sensitive not to let them give any improper and negative messages.

Abstract
Anne babanın,
kendi cinsiyet rollerinde sağlılıklı modeller sunmaları, çocuğun cinsel
gelişiminde en önemli çevresel faktördür ve doğumdan erişkinliğe kadar her
yaşta etkilidir. Çocuğuna doğru model olan anne babalar. çocuğa daha yararlı
olmaktadır. Çocuğun cinsel gelişiminde; çevre faktörleri dışında; akran
ilişkileri, televizyon, internet vb medya, gibi pek çok faktör söz konusudur.
Televizyon programlarının, çocukların cinsiyet rol kazanımları üzerinde olumlu ve olumsuz pek çok
etkileri vardır. Televizyonun etkileri ile
ilgili olarak pek çok çalışmalar yapılmıştır. Bu yazıda ifade edilen
araşnrmalardar televizyon da hangi tip programların cinsiyet rol kazanımlarına
yönelik hazırlandığının ve bu programlarm çocukların cinsiyet rol kazanımları
üzerinde etkisinin olup olmadığı gösterilmektedir. Tüm bu araştırmalarm sonuçları göz önüne alındığında televizyon
programlarının gerçekten çocukların cinsiyel rol kazanımında etkili olduğu
görülmektedir Dolayısıyla televizyon programlarunn da iyi bir denetimden geçirilmesi ve programların yanlış mesajlar vermemesine
dikkat edilmelidir.
