Rights to Life, Health and Nutritition in the Context of Child Poverty

Abstract

Poverty is an
important social problem which affects child welfare negatively. Child poverty
is examined in the context of children’s rights of life, health and nutrition,
by means of a research which was applied to the mothers who receive social aid
from Keçiören Social Assistance and Solidarity Foundation. Social work practice
against child poverty is discussed.

Abstract

Yoksulluk, çocuk
refahını olumsuz yönde etkileyen önemli bir toplumsal sorundur. Çocuk
yoksulluğu, Keçiören Sosyal Yardımlaşma ve Dayanışma Vakfı’ndan sosyal yardım
alan annelerle yapılan görüşmelerden elde edilen bilgiler doğrultusunda, çocuk
haklarının önemli bir boyutu olan yaşama, sağlık ve beslenme hakları üzerinden
incelenmektedir. Çocuk yoksulluğu ile mücadeleye yönelik sosyal hizmet
uygulaması önerileri tartışılmaktadır.
