TROYA MÜZESİ’NDEN BİR GRUP ORTA BİZANS SIRLI SERAMİK

Abstract

Yakın zamanda Troya Müzesi envanterine giren bir grup sırlı Bizans seramiği, oldukça iyi durumdaki kondisyonları ve Bizans seramik repertuarında az bilinen örnekler arasında olmaları ile dikkat çeker. Bu kapların tamamı besin maddelerinin sofrada tüketilmeleri amacıyla kullanılan sofra ya da servis kapları olup, ikisi yemeklerin sıcak kalmasını ya da servis edilmesini sağlayan ısıtma kabı, biri çift kulplu bir kupa - fincan diğer on ikisi ise küçük boyutlardaki tek kulplu testilerdir. Testilerin tamamı düz dipli olmakla birlikte yedisi yonca ağızlı, diğer beşi de düz kenar ağızlıdır. Kimi yuvarlak ve silindirik gövdeli kimi de sarkık torba gövdeli testilerin özellikle düz kenar ağızlı olanların silindirik boyunları ile öne çıktıkları, yonca ağızlı testiler içerisinde ise boyutları ile minyatür sayılabilecek bir grubun bulunduğunu söyleyebiliriz. Testilerden yalnızca birinin ağız kısmındaki küçük bir kırık haricinde kapların hepsi tam form vermekle birlikte kırıksız ve hasarsızdırlar. Ancak uzunca bir süre su altında kaldıkları anlaşılan kapların bazılarının yüzeyinde kısmen kireçlenme ve patina bulunmakla birlikte, sırlı yüzeylerin eserler Müze’ye gelmeden evvel çeşitli yöntemlerle temizlendiği anlaşılır. Bizans seramik çalışmalarında ‘Kırmızı ve Gri Hamurlu Renksiz Sırlı Seramik’ yada ‘Kahverengi Sırlı Seramik’ olarak tanımlanan seramik grubuna dahil edilebilecek olan Troya Müzesi örneklerinin kazı buluntusu olmadıkları ve dolayısıyla stratigrafik bir katmandan gelmiyor olmalarına rağmen, tamamına yakınının aynı koleksiyonun bir parçası olması bunların olasılıkla aynı dönemde üretilmiş olup yine aynı dönemde su altında kalan bir batıktan ele geçmiş olabileceklerini akıllara getirir.
