Abstract

The aim of this study was to obtain of thermal residual stresses in a three dimensional thermoplastic composite disc using elastic-plastic solution. It was reinforced by steel fibers, curvilinearly. Modeling and solution procedures were carried out using ANSYS code. The various uniform temperature loadings were applied as the thermal loading. The solution was completed in two stages. Firstly, thermal elastic stresses were determined by elastic solution. Secondly, thermal plastic stresses were computed via elastic-plastic solution. In addition, thermal residual stresses were calculated using superposition method. All thermal stresses were obtained for radial, tangential and z-directions. According to obtained results, thermal stresses were occurred in composite disc by the applied uniform temperature loadings. The spreading and magnitudes of both thermal stresses and residual stresses in thermoplastic composite disc were strictly affected increasing of uniform temperature.

ÜÇ BOYUTLU TERMOPLASTİK KOMPOZİT BİR DİSKTEKİ ISIL ARTIK GERİLMELERİN ANALİZİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, üç boyutlu termoplastik kompozit bir disk içindeki ısıl artık gerilmelerin elastik-plastik çözüm kullanılarak elde edilmesidir. Termoplastik disk çelik tellerle takviye edilmiştir. Modelleme ve çözüm işlemleri ANSYS programı kullanılarak yapılmıştır. Isıl yük olarak, çeşitli üniform sıcaklıklar uygulanmıştır. Çözüm iki aşamada tamamlanmıştır. İlk olarak, elastik çözüm yöntemi ile ısıl elastik gerilmeler elde edilmiştir. İkinci olarak, elastik-plastik çözüm yöntemi kullanılarak ısıl plastik gerilmeler hesaplanmıştır. Ayrıca, süperpozisyon yöntemi kullanılarak ısıl artık gerilmeler bulunmuştur. Radyal, teğetsel ve z-yönleri için tüm ısıl gerilmeler elde edilmiştir. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre, uygulanan üniform sıcaklık yüklerinden dolayı kompozit disk içerisinde ısıl gerilmeler meydana gelmiştir. Çünkü kompozit disk, radyal ve teğetsel doğrultularda farklı ısıl genleşme katsayılarına sahiptir. Açık bir şekilde anlaşılıyor ki termoplastik diske etki eden üniform sıcaklığın değerindeki artış, hem ısıl gerilmelerin hem de artık gerilmelerin dağılımını ve değerlerini etkilemektedir.
