FİTOTERAPİDE BİTKİSEL DROGLARLA GİS (GASTROİNTESTİNAL SİSTEM) HASTALIKLARININ TEDAVİSİ

Abstract

Fitoterapi, bitkileri ya hastalıkları tedavi etmek için ya da sağlığı geliştirici ajanlar olarak kullanan bir tıp alanıdır. Fitoterapi günümüzde birçok hastalıkta kullanılabilmektedir. Bunlardan birisi de gastrointestinal sistem hastalıklarıdır. Bu doğrultuda bu çalışmada fitoterapide bitkisel droglarla GİS (gastrointestinal sistem) hastalıklarının tedavisinin ele alınması amaçlanmıştır. Bu doğrultuda barsak enflamasyonunda, şişkinlik/gazda, kabızlıkta ve ishalde kullanılan bitkisel droglar, bitkisel çaylar, bitkisel aroma ve uçucu yağlar literatür ışığında ele alınmıştır. Yapılan çalışma sonucunda çeşitli bitkisel drogların GİS (gastrointestinal sistem) hastalıklarının tedavisinde etkin şekilde kullanıldığı sonucuna varılmıştır. Ancak günümüzde halen bitkisel ilaçların kullanımı, diğer adıyla fitoterapi, sağlık çalışanları tarafından çoğunlukla bilgi eksikliğinden dolayı pek kabul görmemektedir. Bitkisel ilaçların birçok potansiyeli bulunduğu gibi yanlış kullanım sonucunda önemli zararlı etkileri de olabilmektedir. Bu bağlamda bu sürecin sağlık profesyonelleri eşliğinde yürütülmesi oldukça önemlidir.
