For Authors
The Turkish Journal of Geographic Information Systems (TUCBS) welcomes original, high-quality scholarly contributions in the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), geospatial sciences, and related interdisciplinary applications.
The journal considers the following manuscript types:
- Research Articles
- Review Articles
- Short Communications
- Case Studies
- Technical Notes
Submitted manuscripts should present:
- Original scientific contributions
- Methodologically sound theoretical or applied research
- Innovative methodological or technological developments
- Scientifically rigorous case studies or application-oriented research
- Comprehensive review studies that critically synthesize developments in a specific field
Submission Process
All manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal submission system:

Authors are responsible for ensuring that submissions are original, have not been published previously, and are not under consideration elsewhere.
All listed authors must approve the submitted version of the manuscript and agree on the authorship order before submission.
Manuscript Preparation
Authors must prepare their manuscripts using the official journal template and follow the formatting and referencing requirements provided in the author guidelines.

Research Integrity and Ethics
Submitted manuscripts are screened for originality and may be evaluated using plagiarism detection software.
Manuscripts involving human participants, animals, surveys, interviews, or ethics-sensitive research must include the relevant ethics approval information.
The journal follows internationally accepted principles of publication ethics.
ORCID Requirement
All authors are encouraged (hatta zorunlu yapabiliriz) to provide their ORCID identifiers during submission.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) Disclosure
Authors must disclose the use of generative artificial intelligence tools when such tools contribute to content generation, analysis, visualization, or other substantive parts of the research.
AI tools cannot be listed as authors.
Copyright and Open Access
Authors retain copyright of their published work.
Articles are published under the applicable Creative Commons license as defined by the journal’s open access policy.
