Diyabette Oksidatif Stres ve Antioksidanların Rolü

Abstract

Diyabete bağlı komplikasyonlarının oluşmasında oksidatif stres önemli role sahiptir. Diyabetli hastalarda mevcut hiperglisemi serbest radikal oluşumunu artırır; endojen antioksidanlar toksik reaktif oksijen türlerini dengelemek için yeterli olmaz ve buna bağlı olarak oksidatif streste artış meydana gelir. Antioksidan savunma mekanizmaları hem enzimatik hem de enzimatik olmayan yolaklar içerir. Başlıca antioksidanlar A, C ve E vitaminleri, glutatyon ve enzimatik olarak da süperoksit dismutaz, katalaz, glutatyon peroksidaz ve glutatyon redüktazdır. Burada diyabette antioksidan savunma mekanizmasının öneminden ve invivo olarak olası terapötik etkilerinden sözedilecektir.

This journal is published annually three times (in April, August and December).

The publication language of the journal is Turkish and English.
