Obezite ve Gebelik

Abstract

Doğurganlık çağındaki kadınların %50’si fazla kilolu [vücut kitle indeksi (VKI): 24.9-29.9kg/m²] ya da obezdir (BMI>30 kg/m²), %18’i gebeliğe başlarken obezdir. Amerika Birleşik Devletleri ve Avrupa’da %20-40 kadın gebelik sırasında önerilenden fazla kilo almaktadır, bu ise maternal ve fetal komplikasyonların artışı ile sonuçlanmaktadır. Gebelik, doğum ve doğum sonrasında ölen kadınların yarıdan fazlası kilolu ya da obezdir.  Obezitenin ciddi problem olduğu günümüzde gebeliğe obez başlayan veya gebelik sırasında fazla kilo alan gebelerin yönetimi hem anne hem fetüs sağlığı için önemlidir. özellikle sağlıksız bir mikroçevreye maruz kalan fetüste ileride de ciddi metabolik problemler gelişmektedir.

With the collaboration of the Turkish Obesity Research Association and Zonguldak Bülent Ecevit University, our journal will now serve as a joint publication platform.

This is a refereed journal, which is published in printed and electronic forms. It aims at achieving free knowledge to the related national and international organizations and individuals.

This journal is published annually three times (in April, August and December).

The publication language of the journal is Turkish and English.
