Abstract

“Cyprus in the Otoman Period: Consolidation of the Cypro-Ottoman Elite, 1650– 1750” (63–88) adlı yazısında, ilk iki yüzyıllık Osmanlı idaresinde oldukça karmaşık bir dönem oluşturulduğunu belirtmektedir. Hadjianastasis, Kıbrıs’ın genel tarihi hakkında birçok yayının olmasına rağmen, 1571 ve 1800 yılları arasında kalan dönemin yapılan araştırmaların odak noktası olmadığı ve derinlemesine incelenmediğinin üzerinde durur. Bunun yanı sıra, Kıbrıs’ın Akdeniz ve Avrupa ticaretindeki konumu, Kıbrıs Kilisesi (1650–1750) ve toplumda meydana çıkan seçkinler hakkında da bilgi verir
