Köpeklerde Toraks Drenajı

Abstract

Hipokrat döneminden itibaren uygulanmakta olan plevral drenaj, günümüzde plevral boşluğun fizyolojisinin daha iyi anlaşılmış olması ve teknolojinin gelişmesi nedeniyle daha bilinçli olarak yapılmaktadır. Özellikle tansiyon pnömotoraks ve malignant plevral efüzyon gibi plevral boşluktaki sorunun çözülemediği olgularda; toraks drenajı, torakosentez ve kısa süreli tüp torakostomi teknikleri yaygın olarak kullanılmaktadır. Bu derlemede, köpeklerde toraks drenajının teknik detayları, komplikasyonları ve gelişmiş toraks drenaj sistemleri sunulmaktadır.

Thoracic Drainage in Dogs

Abstract

Pleural cavity drainage, which has been applied since the Hippocrates period, can be done more consciously with the better understanding of the physiology of the pleural space and the development of technology. Especially in cases where the problem in the pleural space cannot be solved such as tension pneumothorax and malignant pleural effusion; thoracic drainage, thoracocentesis and short-term tube thoracostomy techniques are widely used. In this review, technical details, complications and advanced thoracic drainage systems in dogs are presented.
