Excision of Giant Breast Tumours and Achiving Symmetry with Vertical Scar Breast Reduction

Abstract

Benign neoplastic tumors of the breast, may lead to breast asymmetries. Total excision of these tumors is the definitive treatment and reduction mammoplasty is a reconstructive method for achieving symmetrical results of size and shape in the contralateral breast after excision of the tumor. In this study, two cases in which excision through breast reduction incisions and obtaining symmetry in the contralateral breast with breast reduction are discussed.

Abstract

Memede gelişen iyi huylu neoplastik oluşumlar, kitle boyutları arttıkça meme asimetrilerine neden olabilmektedirler. İyi huylu tümörlerin total eksizyonu kesin tedavi olmakla birlikte, asimetrik meme ile sonuçlanan büyük tümörlerin eksizyonu sonrası karşı memede boyut ve şekil açısından simetrik sonuçlar elde etmek için redüksiyon mammoplasti operasyonları uygun bir rekonstrüksiyon seçeneğidir. Çalışmamızda, meme küçültme insizyonları yardımı ile eksizyon ve karşı memede simetriyi sağlama amacı ile küçültme mammoplasti yönteminin kullanıldığı iki olgu tartışılmıştır.
