Abstract

Liposarkom erişkinlerde malign fibröz histiositomdan sonra ikinci en sık görülen yumuşak doku sarkomudur. Sıklıkla multipotensiyel primitif mezenkimal hücrelerden ve nadiren olgun yağ hücrelerinden köken alır. Çoğunlukla retroperitoneal bölge ve alt ekstremitelerde görülürken, üst sırt bölgesinde dev ebatlarda oluşması nadirdir. Burada nadir görülen bir olgu olarak erkek bir hastada sağ uyluktan sağ üst sırt bölgesinde metastaz olan dev liposarkom olgusu sunuldu. Hastaya geniş en-blok lokal eksizyon ve ince kalınlıktaki deri grefti ile onarım yapıldı. Çıkarılan tümör 8500 gr ve en büyük ebadı 32 cm idi.

GIANT METASTATIC MYXOID LIPOSARCOMA OF THE BACK: CASE REPORT

Abstract

Liposarcoma, next to malignant fibrous histiocytoma, is the second most frequent soft tissue sarcoma in adults. It originates from multipotential primitive mesenchymal cells, rather than mature adipose tissue. Most of them are located in the retroperitoneum, lower extremities, its occurrence and reaching giant dimension within upper back are rare. Here it is presented an unusual case of giant liposarcoma, which metastasized from the right thigh to the right upper back in a male. The patient was operated by wide local excision of lesion and coverage with split-thickness skin graft. The resected tumor weighed 8500 gr and was 32 cm in largest diameter.
