Pilularia minuta (Marsileaceae), as being one of the most symbolic species of Mediterranean temporary wetland habitats, is a semi-aquatic relict fern. It’s in the EN threatened category on international level and in regional level of many countries. With this study the given species, which has been qualified as a lost species since 2000 in our country, was collected again, the anatomical cross sections of the species obtained, and its description was rewritten. New area of occupancy of the species is determined as 0.02 km2, and its extent of occurrence as 1.48 km2. In the light of these new data, the IUCN threat category for the species was suggested as CR [B2(a,b)i,ii,iii,iv,v].
