Geçiş: Yunan savaş çabalarında değişim ve süreklilik Kasım-Aralık 1920

Abstract

Bu yazıda, Kasım 1920 seçimlerinden sonra Yunan Ordu Karargahı ve Küçük Asya Sahra Ordusu'nda alay, tümen, kolordu, ordu ve personel düzeylerinde gerçekleşen değişiklikleri sunuyorum. Anastasios Papulas'ın Sahra Ordusu Komutanı olarak ve Palles ve Sarrigiannis'in personel subayları olarak atanması kararını açıklayan bilgileri sunuyorum ve buradaki değişikliğin neden köklü ve geniş kapsamlı sonuçları olduğunu açıklıyorum. Ayrıca, sahip olduğumuz bilgilere dayanarak, alay ve tümen düzeyindeki değişikliklerin birçok kişinin iddia ettiği kadar önemli olmadığını ve en azından Haziran 1921'e kadar Küçük Asya Sahra Ordusu'nun değişimden çok sürekliliğin bir yaratığı olduğunu savunuyorum.

The Transition: Change and Continuity in the Greek war effort November-December 1920

Abstract

In this manuscript I present the changes that happened at the regimental, divisional, corps, army, and staff levels in the Greek Army Headquarters and the Field Army of Asia Minor after the November 1920 elections. I present information that explains the decision to appoint Anastasios Papulas as Commander of the Field Army, and Palles and Sarrigiannis as his staff officers, and explains why the change here was drastic and with far-reaching consequences. I also argue based on the information that we have, that at the regimental and divisional level, the changes are not as important as many argue, and that until at least June 1921, the Field Army of Asia Minor was more a creature of continuity than of change.
