Guide for Authors

General Information


TYKHE is an international peer-reviewed journal that publishes high-quality articles on art and design.
TYKHE is a journal published two times a year in June and December.
Only one article from an author can be published in the same volume and issue.
The language of the articles is Turkish and English.
The percentage of similarity in articles, excluding the references, must be at most 15%.
Article applications are not accepted via e-mail.
The reviewing process is not initiated for articles that do not comply with the journal's writing rules. A template for the writing rules can be found in the submission process.
Manuscripts to be published must be sent via the “Submit Article” page.

Note: If any editor sends an article to the TYKHE, the editor's access to the editorial panel is prevented. The editor follows all processes as a writer. After the process is completed, the editorial authority is given to him again.

Required files to be uploaded when submitting an article:
Word document of the article prepared considering the spelling rules (There should be no information belonging to the authors. This file will be sent to the referees in accordance with the double-blind refereeing policy.)

Cover Letter


The following questions have been prepared based on the evaluation criteria included in the peer review report of TYKHE Journal of Art and Design to contribute to the enhancement of the scientific quality of the articles submitted to the journal and to improve their success in the double-blind peer review process.

1. Is the title of the article appropriate for the content of the study?

2. Does the abstract clearly state the subject, problem addressed, findings, and contribution to the field without exceeding the word limit?

3. Are the keywords sufficient and in compliance with international standards?

4. Are the translations of the title, abstract, and keywords appropriate?

5. Does the introduction section clearly and adequately state the subject, purpose, or problem of the study, as well as the methodology used, if applicable?

6. Are the ideas, discussions, and findings in the article presented consistently and sufficiently?

7. Does the conclusion section explicitly present the findings and contributions of the study to the field?

8. Has the relevant literature been reviewed comprehensively, including recent and significant sources? Does the article establish coherence with the existing literature?

9. Is the language of the article clear and comprehensible?

10. Are the concepts and terms related to the subject used correctly?

11. Is the article written in accordance with grammar rules and the journal’s writing guidelines?

12. Is the study original? Does it offer new insights, evaluations, discussions, or perspectives on the topic?

13. Are the cited sources properly referenced both in the text and in the reference section, in compliance with academic ethics and the journal’s citation guidelines? Does the article adhere to the journal’s ethical standards overall?

14. Are all the sources cited in the text included in the reference section?

15. If the article includes tables, figures, or images, are they used appropriately and formatted according to the journal’s writing guidelines?
