Beta-Alanin ve Sodyum Bikarbonat Takviyelerinin Kombine Tüketiminin Egzersiz Performansına Etkisi: Sistematik Derleme

Öz

Kas asidozu, egzersiz sırasında yorgunluğa neden olan ve performansı olumsuz etkileyen temel faktörlerden biridir. Bu nedenle egzersiz sırasında, kas asidozuna sebebiyet veren hidrojen iyonlarının (H+) tamponlanması, performans kapasitesini sürdürmek için kritik bir önem taşımaktadır. Spor takviyeleri olan, beta-alanin (βA) ve sodyum bikarbonat (SB) takviyelerinin, vücudun tamponlama sistemlerinin etkilerini artırdığı ve H+ konsantrasyonlarının azaltılmasına yardımcı olduğu bilimsel kanıtlarla desteklenmektedir. Bu sistematik derlemenin amacı, βA ve SB takviyelerinin kombine tüketiminin, tek başlarına veya plasebo ile kıyaslandığında performans parametreleri üzerinde ek bir fayda sağlama potansiyeline sahip olup olmadığını araştırmaktır. Araştırma sürecinin şeffaf ve kapsamlı bir şekilde yürütülmesi amacıyla PRISMA yönergelerinden faydalanılmıştır. Araştırmada “beta alanine”, “beta-alanine”, “βA”, β-Alanine”, “sodium bicarbonate” “NaHCO3” ve “and” kelime kombinasyonları kullanılarak PubMED ve Web of Science veri tabanlarında, 2010/Ocak – 2024/Nisan yıllarını kapsayacak şekilde, İngilizce dilinde tarama yapılmıştır. Derlemeler/meta-analizler, erişilemeyen tam metinler, beta-alanin ve sodyum bikarbonatın eş zamanlı kullanılmadığı ve normoksik ortamda yapılmayan çalışmalar hariç tutulduktan sonra, araştırmaya 10 çalışma dahil edilmiştir. Mevcut araştırmaya dahil edilen çalışmaların sonuçları, βA ve SB takviyelerinin kombine tüketiminin plaseboya kıyasla performans çıktıları üzerinde fayda sağlayabileceğini göstermektedir.
