Objective
This policy aims to set ethical, scientific and technical standards for the use of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in academic journals at Mardin Artuklu University. The main goals are to ensure that AI is used in academic studies in a transparent, accurate and impartial manner, to protect academic integrity and to pay attention to data confidentiality. This policy may be updated depending on developments in the use of artificial intelligence tools.


General Principles
1. Ethical Use: AI technologies can be used as an auxiliary tool in technical areas such as grammar, spelling errors and stylistic consistency. However, the use of artificial intelligence in the production, analysis and interpretation of academic content is the sole responsibility of the author.
2. Transparency: Authors are obliged to clearly state in which stages and how artificial intelligence is used in their articles. This statement should be included in the ethical statement section of the article.
3. Accuracy: The accuracy of the data generated or analyzed by AI should be checked through the sources. The author is responsible for false, incomplete or misleading information.
4. Objectivity: It is essential that AI technologies are used in an impartial manner. In order to avoid potential conflicts of interest, authors should be transparent and clearly state these situations in their ethical statements.
5. Privacy and Security: Privacy and security of personal data is a priority in the use of artificial intelligence. Privacy principles should be followed in data collection, storage and processing processes.
6. Source Citation: The use of artificial intelligence tools should not be included in references or footnotes. However, this use must be clearly stated in the ethical statement section.

 Obligations
1. Authors: All ethical and scientific responsibility arising from the use of artificial intelligence technologies belongs to the authors.
2. Reviewers and Editors: The journal management checks whether the use of artificial intelligence complies with the established ethical standards and makes the necessary evaluations.
3. Updating and Adaptation: This policy may be reviewed and updated regularly depending on the developments in artificial intelligence technologies.
