Abstract
Objective: In this study, it is aimed to investigate the existence of a relationship between organizational climate and organizational commitment in the employees of a non-governmental organization operating in the field of health.
Materials and Methods: The study was carried out between 07.11.2019 - 07.12.2019 with people who have been working for 6 months or more in the headquarters and other centers of a non-governmental organization operating in the field of health in Istanbul. In this study, organizational commitment scale and organizational climate scales were applied to 123 employees on a voluntary basis. The obtained data were evaluated with the necessary statistical analyzes using the SPSS 25 package program.
Results: Comparisons were made with scale scores in terms of demographic variables; It has been determined that there is no significant difference in terms of organizational commitment total, organizational climate total, superior support, cohesiveness, internal appreciation, objectivity, emotional commitment, continuance commitment and normative commitment, except for the workload pressure scores from the sub-dimensions of the organizational climate scale. In terms of workload pressure scores, it was determined that the participants with a working period of 1-3 years had higher scores than the other participants. It has been observed that there is a positive, moderate relationship between the total scores of organizational commitment and the total scores of organizational climate.
Conclusion: Since a positive moderate relationship has been determined between organizational climate and organizational commitment, the improvement of the organizational climate by the top managers will contribute to the increase in the organizational commitment levels of the employees.
