Abstract

Üzerinden kırk yıl gibi uzun bir süre geçmesine rağmen, Barrington Moore’un bu eseri Karşılaştırmalı Siyaset alanında önemli bir kaynak olma özelliğini hala korumaktadır. Günümüzde Türkçe literatürde gerektiği önemi görmemesine karşın, Moore’un Marksist bakış açısıyla ülkelerin tarihini inceleyerek onların sosyal sistemlerinin ve deneyimlediği devrimlerin bugünkü rejimlerini oluşturduğu tezi günümüzdeki birçok sorunun kökenini anlamamıza yardımcı olabilir.
