Abstract

Harvard Üniversitesi Uluslararası İlişkiler Profesörü Stephen M. Walt, Prof. John Mearsheimer
ile birlikte realist düşünce okulunun yaşayan en önemli temsilcileri arasında gösterilmektedir.
Son kitabında Walt, A.B.D. dış politikasının merkezinde yer alan liberal hegemonya stratejisinin
başarısızlıklarını ve bu stratejiyi temsil eden zümreyi ele almaktadır. Yoğun eleştirilerini kapsamlı bir
analizle ve zengin örneklerle gerekçelendiren Walt, alternatif olarak denizaşırı dengeleme stratejisini
ortaya koymakta ve literatüre önemli bir katkı yapmaktadır.
