Bir Nazal Septal Schwannom Olgusu

Öz

Schwannomlar periferik, kranial ve sempatik sinirlerdeki Schwann hücrelerinden kaynaklanan benign, kapsüllü neoplazmlardır. Bu tümörlerin %25-40’ı baş ve boyun bölgesinde görülürken, sadece % 4’ü nazal kavite ve paranazal sinüslerde yer alır.Kırk yedi yaşında erkek hasta yaklaşık 2 yıldır olan burun sağ tarafta tıkanıklık ve ara ara ortaya çıkan burun kanaması şikayeti ile başvurdu. Sağ nazal kavitede yerleşik, septum mukozasına yapışık kitleden biyopsi alındı. Patolojisi schwannom olarak rapor edildi. Bunun üzerine kitle endoskopik yöntemle eksize edildi. Ender olarak nazal kavitede görülen bu tümör literatür bilgileri ışığında tartışıldı.

A Case of Schwannoma on the Nasal Septum

Abstract

Schwannomas are encapsuleted, benign neoplasms resulting from Schwann cells at peripheral , cranial and sympathetic nerves. While % 25-40 of this tumors are seen in the zone of head and neck, only %4 takes part in nasal cavity and paranasal sinus. Male patient who is 47 years old , applied with obstruction in the right zone of nose and with nosebleed complaint coming into being rarely. Biopsy is taken from the mass which is adherent to septum mucosa and setted in the right nasal cavity. Pathology of sample was reported as schwannoma. Thereupon the mass was excised with endoscopic method. This tumor that are rarely seen in the nasal cavity, discussed with literature knowledge.
