Abstract
Carbamazepine is widely used for the treatment of neurological disorders and has cardiac side effects. After a very short and low dose carbamazepine therapy for post-stroke epilepsy, an 86 years old man experienced complete atrioventricular block. After discontinuation of carbamazepine, he returned to sinus rhythm. The present case suggests that, even for low dose and short course of therapy, carbamazepine might cause reversible complete atrioventricular block.

Abstract
Karbamazepin nörolojik hastalıklarda yaygın kullanım alanı olan ve kardiyak yan etkiler gösterebilen bir ilaçtır. İnme sonrası epilepsi nedeniyle çok kısa süre karbamazepin tedavisi verilen ve ilaca bağlı atriyoventriküler tam blok gelişen 86 yaşında erkek hasta ilaç kesildikten kısa süre sonra sinüs ritmine döndü. Bu olgu, karbamazepinin kısa süreli ve düşük dozda verilmiş olsa dahi, geri dönüşümlü ileti sorunlarına yol açabileceğini göstermektedir.
