The Naval Museum Command, which was the first museum in Turkey to be established with the status of a military museum, is one of the most important museums capable of presenting the developments and changes of Turkish seafaring throughout history through its artefacts and collections. The Maritime Museum, which aims to tell our maritime history and pass on maritime culture from generation to generation by preserving historical objects and artefacts, ranks among the richest maritime museums in the world in terms of the richness of its collection. In this study, the developments in the historical and cultural process of the Naval Museum Command are explained and information is provided on the processes that the museum has undergone in the area of spatial settlement when compiling its main collection.
