ÜST EKSTREMİTE AMPUTELERİNDE FONKSİYONEL PROTEZ KULLANIMINI ETKİLEYEN FAKTÖRLERİN DEĞERLENDİRİLMESİ

Öz

Çalışma üst ekstremite amputelerinde fonksiyonel protez kullanımını etkileyen faktörleri belirlemek amacıyla yapıldı. Çalışmamızda değişik seviyelerde 60 üst ekstremitesi amputesi değerlendirildi. Değerlendirme kapsamı içinde ampütasyon nedeni, güdük boyu, eklem hareketleri, kas kuvveti, eklem stabilitesi, güdükte skar doku, fantom hissi ve ağrısı, ampütasyon yaşı, protezi kullanmaya başladıkları yaş, proteze ait özellikler, protez kullanımına yönelik faktörler yer aldı. Amputelerin ampütasyon yaşı 18. 56±13. 44 yıl iken, protezi kullanmaya başladıkları yaş 22. 40±14. 40 yıl olarak bulundu. Protezini erken yaşta kullanmaya başlayan amputelerin fonksiyonel aktivitelerde daha başarılı oldukları gözlendi. Amputelerin %42’sinin protezlerini fonksiyonel olarak, %38’inin fonksiyonu arttırıcı yönde, %20’sinin ise estetik amaçlı kullandıkları görüldü. Protezin fonksiyonel kullanımını etkileyen faktörlerin incelendiği çalışmamızda rehabilitasyon programının bu faktörleri olumlu yönde etkileyerek amputenin bağımsızlığını ve protezin fonksiyonel kullanımını artırdığı sonucuna varıldı

ASSESMENT OF FACTORS INFLUENCING FUNCTIONAL PROSTHETIC USE IN UPPER LIMB AMPUTEES

Öz

The study is performed with the aim of determining the functional use in upper limb amputees. 60 upper limb amputees from various levels were included in the study. Patients were evaluated for their muscle strength, muscle shortening, age of amputation date of the first prosthetic fitting, cause of amputation, stump length, joint motion and stability, phantom pain and sensation, prosthetic components and prosthetic use. Mean age at amputation was 18. 56±13. 44 years while then mean age at first prosthetic fitting was found to be 22. 40±14. 40 years. Patients who were provided with prostheses in a closer period to amputation were more successful in functional activities. 42 percent was found to be functional in daily living activities, while 38 percent was using the prosthesis for assistive purposes and 20 percent for cosmetic appearance. Outcome of this study revealed that prosthetic rehabilitation has an obvious influence in functional prosthetic use
