In this article in which both a multidisciplinary and an interdisciplinary approaches are sought, the focus will be on the developments and intersection points of the three fields that emerged in the last years of the Ottoman Empire known as “the dissolution period”. These three fields are press, nationalism (Turkism) and psychology. The appearance of psychology as a scientific discipline in the Turkist journals generates the focus of the article. Since the phase that started in the 1860’s and 1870’s reached a new stage with the 1908 Young Turk Revolution, the first years of the II. Sözü edilen bu üç alan matbuat, milliyetçilik (Türkçülük) ve psikolojidir. Bilimsel bir disiplin olarak psikolojinin ilk Türkçü dergilerde yer alışı, çalışmanın odak noktasını oluşturmaktadır. 1860’lar ve 1870’lerde başlayan süreç, 1908 Jön Türk Devrimi’yle yeni bir aşamaya ulaştığından, II.
