About

USSMAD Review of Public Finance and Economics is an international, peer-reviewed academic journal published by the Fiscal Research Association (Mali Araştırmalar Derneği). The journal adopts a double-blind peer-review system and aims to contribute to national and international scholarly literature by publishing original theoretical and empirical research in public finance, economics, and related disciplines.

The journal was established in 2021 under the title Uluslararası Sosyal, Siyasal ve Mali Araştırmalar Dergisi (USSMAD) and continued its publication activities under this name from 2021 to 2026. Effective from 2027, the journal changed its title to USSMAD Review of Public Finance and Economics, maintaining the continuity of its academic publishing history. This change reflects the journal's commitment to strengthening its international academic visibility and expanding its scholarly contributions in the fields of public finance and economics while preserving its established academic heritage.

The journal's primary areas of interest include taxation, tax policies, tax compliance and tax morale, public revenues and expenditures, budgetary policies, fiscal institutions, public finance theory, fiscal law, fiscal sustainability, public debt, fiscal decentralization, income distribution, economic growth, development economics, and economic policy. The journal also welcomes interdisciplinary research addressing behavioral public finance, public economics, international public finance, fiscal governance, and related economic and public policy issues.

The journal is committed to scientific originality, academic independence, research integrity, transparency, and ethical publishing practices. All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening followed by a double-blind peer-review process. In accordance with its open-access publishing policy, the journal supports the unrestricted dissemination of scholarly knowledge and seeks to enhance the accessibility and visibility of research findings within the international academic community.

The journal accepts manuscripts in both English and Turkish. However, priority is given to manuscripts written in English to promote international scholarly communication, academic collaboration, and global visibility. Manuscripts submitted in Turkish must include an extended abstract in English.

All submissions must strictly comply with the journal's current author guidelines and official manuscript template. Manuscripts that do not meet the prescribed formatting and template requirements will be returned to the authors for necessary revisions before entering the peer-review process.

USSMAD Review of Public Finance and Economics is dedicated to advancing high-quality academic research, fostering international scholarly collaboration, and contributing to the development of public finance and economic literature through rigorous peer review and responsible academic publishing.
