Due to COVID-19 related school closures, many countries have been exploring alternative ways to provide continuous education using technologies such as the Internet, TV, and radio. at University College London and associate lecturer at The Open University, UK. She had given a keynote speech at 7th International Communication Days at Üsküdar University in 2020 and the title of her speech was “Communication as Critical Global Semiotics’’. We spoke to Dr. Ellis about critical realism, critical global semiotics and education during COVID-19.
