Place of East Turkestan in the History of Kyrgyz People

Abstract

Since ancient times East Turkestan, which is located in the centre of Asia, has been one of the homelands of Turks. Kyrgyzs consider East Turkestan as their homeland since the Hun period. In the V century Kyrgyzs emigrated from the East Turkestan to the Yenisei basin. From IX century some tribes of Kyrgyzs began to move to East Turkestan. All of the scientists researching the origin of the Kyrgyz people agree on that Kyrgyzs had lived in East Turkestan in different periods. It is not possible to explain the history of the Kyrgyzs without East Turkistan

DOĞU TÜRKİSTAN’IN KIRGIZ TARİHİNDEKİ YERİ

Abstract

Asya’nın merkezinde yer alan Türkistan’ın doğu kısmı eski devirlerden beri Türklerin yurt edindiği bölgelerden biridir. Kırgızlar da Hunlardan itibaren Doğu Türkistan’ı ana yurtları olarak bilmektedirler. Kırgızlar, MS V. yüzyılda Doğu Türkistan’dan Yenisey havzasına göç etmişlerdir. Kırgızların bir kısmı IX. yüzyıldan itibaren yeniden Doğu Türkistan’a gelmeye başlamıştır. Kırgızların kökünü araştıran bilim adamlarının tamamı, tarihin çeşitli dönemlerinde Kırgızların Doğu Türkistan’da yaşadıklarını kabul etmektedirler. Kırgız tarihini Doğu Türkistansız izah etmek mümkün değildir.
