THE EFFECTS OF ANTINEMATODAL DRUGS ON CYTOKINES

Abstract

One of the factors affecting cytokine production
is drugs. In veterinary practice,
one of the most commonly used drugs in the field are anthelmintics against
nematodes. Some benzimidazole drugs
(albendazole, mebendazole, fenbendazole), organic phosphorus insecticides,
avermektin have been shown to be effective on cytokines. This review summarizes the effects of drugs against
nematodes on cytokines. A better
investigation of these effects will contribute to drug use approaches in the
treatment and prevention of nematode-borne diseases.

ANTİNEMATODAL İLAÇLARIN SİTOKİNLER ÜZERİNE ETKİLERİ

Abstract

Sitokin üretimini etkileyen faktörlerden biri de ilaçlardır. Veteriner pratikte sahada en çok kullanılan ilaç gruplarından biri nematodlara karşı kullanılan antelmintiklerdir. Benzimidazol grubu bazı ilaçların (albendazol, mebendazol, fenbendazol), organik fosforlu insektisidlerin, avermektin gibi ilaçların da sitokinler üzerine etkili olduğu gösterilmiştir. Bu derleme nematodlara karşı kullanılan ilaçların sitokinler üzerindeki etkileri özetlenecektir. Bu etkilerin daha iyi araştırılması nematod kaynaklı hastalıkların tedavi ve korunmasında ilaç kullanım yaklaşımlarına önemli katkılar sağlayacaktır.
