Abstract

Pulmoner arterial dirofilariasis, especially in domestic/wild dogs and cats, is a severe disease that can result in death by frequently localizing to the pulmonary and circulatory system. The prevalence of the agent has increased with the change of climates in the world; therefore, the disease has gained importance. In recent years, different drug/drug combinations and treatment protocols have been studied to treat dirofilariasis and prevent the disease. In this review, it might be tried to give information about the treatment and prevention of pulmoner arterial dirofilariasis.
