Abstract
Bu yazı, Françoise Dastur’un Ölüm: Sonluluk Üzerine Bir Deneme kitabını inceliyor. Öncelikle kitabın temel sorununu metafiziğin ölümün üstesinden gelme tutumuna karşı ölümü ve sonluluğu üstlenmeye yönelen bir fenomenoloji (ölümlü varlığın fenomenolojisi) geliştirmek olarak belirliyor. Ardından kitapta örtük kaldığı düşünüldüğünden hiçlik ile ölüm arasındaki ilişki üzerine metni sorgulamaya girişiyor ve bu iki kavramın kitapta özdeş olarak ele alınıp alınmadığını soruşturuyor. Son olarak ise Türkçe çeviride problemli görülen noktalar ele alınıyor.

Abstract
This paper reviews Françoise Dastur's book Death: An Essay on Finitude. First of all, the main problem of the book is determined as developing a phenomenology of mortal being that suggests assuming death and finitude against the metaphysics' attitude of overcoming death. Then, since it is thought to be implicit in the book, it attempts to question the essay on the relationship between nothingness and death, and inquires whether these two concepts are treated as identical in the essay. Finally, the problematic points in Turkish translation are discussed.
