The Van Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (VJHSS) is an international, peer-reviewed, open-access, electronic journal that publishes original research in the humanities and social sciences. The journal has been published regularly twice a year since 2021.

With an interdisciplinary editorial perspective, VJHSS accepts original research articles and review studies in Turkish and English in the fields of geography, archaeology, psychology, sociology, history, philosophy, language, literature, and related disciplines.

The scientific, legal, and ethical responsibility for articles published in the journal rests with the authors. The copyright of accepted works is transferred to Van Yüzüncü Yıl University. Authors are required to upload a signed Copyright Transfer Form to the system at the time of submission.

All articles published in the journal are made freely available in full text through the DergiPark platform and via the official website of Van Yüzüncü Yıl University (https://www.yyu.edu.tr/dergiler).
