Review Process
From the moment you begin reviewing the manuscript to which you have been assigned as an expert, we kindly ask you to share any questions, concerns, or uncertainties with the editorial team. Early communication in such cases is essential for the smooth progression of the review process.
Although our journal conducts an initial editorial screening that includes formal aspects, writing conventions, and general style, we also expect our reviewers to carefully check the manuscript’s compliance with APA 6 (American Psychological Association) citation and referencing style. Particular attention should be paid to the accuracy of author names, publication years, titles, volume and issue numbers, and page ranges in the reference list.
During the evaluation process, we kindly ask you to consider the following criteria:
* The extent to which the title reflects the content of the study,
* The clarity, coherence, and academic adequacy of the language and style,
* Whether the abstracts provided in both Turkish and the foreign language accurately and sufficiently represent the study,
* The scientific appropriateness of the methodology and whether it is clearly presented,
* The adequacy and currency of the references,
* The degree to which the discussion section aligns with the aims of the study,
* The coherence and internal consistency of the manuscript,
* The contribution of the study to its field and to the existing literature.
In this context, you are expected to communicate your comments and suggestions to the author in a detailed, constructive, and explanatory manner. When making in-text comments in the Word file, please ensure that your name is not visible. You may highlight your revisions in colour and add your explanations as comments.
If a decision of major revision is made, the revised version of the manuscript will be resubmitted to you after the author has completed the required changes. In cases of minor revision, the updated version will also be shared with you again upon your request.
It is of utmost importance that reviewer reports are written in a formal, polite, and constructive tone. Any statements that may reveal your identity should be avoided. Our journal operates under a double-blind peer review system, and authors do not have access to the identities of reviewers under any circumstances.
As a journal, we expect our reviewers to demonstrate impartiality, strict adherence to confidentiality, commitment to scientific standards, and the ability to provide clear, well-justified, and constructive feedback. Reviewers are also expected to avoid personal judgements and to offer guidance that will help authors improve their work. Reviewer reports should not only be critical but also developmental and supportive in nature. A balanced approach that acknowledges the strengths of a manuscript alongside its weaknesses is particularly valued, as it contributes to the author’s academic development.
We are aware of the demanding schedules of academics. Nevertheless, if you accept a review invitation, we kindly ask you to adhere to the specified deadlines, as this is crucial for the proper functioning of the publication process. Should you encounter any difficulties or require an extension, please inform the editorial board as soon as possible. In such cases, the author will be notified accordingly, and the process will continue in a more efficient and transparent manner.
If you have any questions, you may consult the reviewer guidelines available on the DergiPark help page or contact the editorial board directly. You will receive a response at the earliest possible convenience.
