Hikmet Guliyev was elected as the Director of the Institute of Folklore of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) in 2025.
In 2015, he successfully defended his PhD dissertation titled “The Wise Old Man Archetype in Azerbaijani Folklore.”
In 2018, he earned the title of Associate Professor in the field of folklore studies.
In 2024, he successfully defended his Doctor of Science dissertation in Philology titled “Internet Folklore: Theoretical-Methodological Context and Folkloric Meaning-Making.”
He is the author of six books and around 60 scholarly articles published both domestically and internationally, and he has participated in numerous national and international conferences. Four of his articles have been published in journals indexed in Web of Science and Scopus.
I graduated from the Department of Turkish Philology at Shumen University in 1997. Since 2000, I have been teaching and conducting academic research at the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at Shumen University. I received my PhD in 2018 with my thesis entitled "Contemporary Turkish Legal Terminology". In 2022, I obtained the title of Associate Professor with my monograph entitled "Polite Expressions in Turkish: Words of Address, Greeting, and Farewell". Since 2001, I have authored 11 books related to the teaching of Turkish in schools and universities. I have also contributed to 12 dictionaries in Bulgarian-Turkish and Turkish-Bulgarian languages, covering various fields from commerce to law, gastronomy to the plant kingdom. I have edited books used in elective Turkish language courses in Bulgaria.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa SEVER
He was born on March 28, 1961, in Kayseri. He completed his primary and secondary education in Kayseri. In 1986, he graduated from Uludağ University, Necatibey Faculty of Education, Department of Turkish Language and Literature Education. In the same year, he began working as a Turkish Language and Literature teacher, to which he was appointed by the Ministry of National Education, and continued this duty until 1995. He completed his master’s degree, which he started in 1992 at Gazi University Institute of Social Sciences, on September 19, 1995, with his thesis titled “Types in the Tales of the Erciyes Region”; and his doctoral studies, which he began in 1996 at Hacettepe University Institute of Social Sciences, Department of Turkish Folklore, on November 6, 2001, with his thesis titled “Folk Beliefs and Folk Medicine in Mersin and Its Surroundings.”
Between 1995 and 2003, M. Sever worked as an instructor and lecturer at Mersin University, and between 2003 and 2006, he served in the Department of Turkish Education at Gazi University Kırşehir Faculty of Education. On November 22, 2006, he was appointed to the Department of Turkish Folklore at Gazi University Faculty of Science and Letters. He became an associate professor on January 12, 2009, and a full professor on March 6, 2014.
Mustafa Sever, who was appointed to the Department of Photography and Video at Gazi University Faculty of Fine Arts on May 22, 2012, worked between September 1, 2014, and June 30, 2015, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, at the University of Tuzla, Faculty of Philosophy, Department of Turkish Language and Literature.
Prof. Dr. Mustafa Sever, who was appointed on December 14, 2021, to Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University, Faculty of Science and Letters, Department of Turkish Language and Literature, Division of Turkish Folk Literature, began working as of January 5, 2026, through an assignment at Bartın University, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Department of Turkish Language and Literature, Division of Turkish Folk Literature, and he continues to hold this position.

Prof. Dr. Ozan YILMAZ was born in Giresun on April 20, 1980. After completing his primary and secondary education in this city, he graduated in 2001 from the Department of Turkish Language and Literature, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University. He received his M.A. degree in 2004 from the Institute of Social Sciences at Gaziantep University with a thesis entitled Turkish Commentaries on the Qasidas of Urfī, and completed his Ph.D. in 2008 at the Institute of Turkic Studies, Marmara University, with a dissertation entitled Sûdî-i Bosnevî, One of the Sixteenth-Century Commentators, and His Commentary on the Gulistān.
Between 2003–2004 and 2008–2010, he worked as a research assistant in the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at Gaziantep University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences, and between 2004–2008 at the Institute of Turkic Studies, Marmara University (under Article 35). Since 2010, he has been serving as a faculty member in the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at Sakarya University, Faculty of Arts and Sciences (Assistant Professor 2010–2012; Associate Professor from 2012; Professor since 2019).
In addition to his books—Gülistân Şerhi (2012), Necâtî Bey Divanı (2015), Hüsn ü Aşk (2018), Ferheng-i Şuûrî (4 vols., 2019), Şeyhî’s Hüsrev ü Şîrîn (2020), and Şiirin Beylerbeyi Necati Bey (2023)—he has published numerous scholarly articles, book chapters, and papers presented at international symposia. In 2019, he was awarded the Outstanding Young Scientist Award (GEBİP) by the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA). He has also served as a reviewer and referee for institutions such as the Turkish Language Association (TDK), TÜBA, TÜBİTAK, and the Atatürk Culture Center (AKMB), as well as for various academic journals. He is currently a member of the Scientific Board of the Turkish Language Association (TDK) and of the TÜBA-GEBİP program under the Turkish Academy of Sciences.
Ahıska’dan sürgün edilen bir ailenin çocuğu olarak Kazakistan’da doğdu. İlköğretim ve lise öğrenimini Kazakistan’ın Cambul şehrine bağlı Merke ilçesinde tamamladıktan sonra 1993 yılında girdiği Ege Üniversitesi Edebiyat Fakültesi Türk Dili ve Edebiyatı bölümünde 1997 yılında mezun oldu.
1999 yılında Yüksek Lisans, 2005 yılında Doktora programını tamamladı. 2000-2004 yılları arasında Edebiyat Öğretmenliği yaptı, 2004 yılında ise Bursa Uludağ Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Türkçe Öğretmenliği Bölümünde görevine devam etti. 2009 yılında Yardımcı Doçent, 2020 yılında da Doçent unvanını aldı.
Uluslararası hakemli dergilerde editörlük ve hakemlik yapan Doç. Dr. Minara Aliyeva Çınar’ın Türkoloji alanında ulusal ve uluslararası dergilerde yayınlanmış çok sayıda makalesi, uluslararası yurtiçi ve yurtdışı kongre ve bilgi şölenlerinde sunduğu pek çok bildirisi vardır.
Bireysel ve ortak yazarlı 7 kitabı ve editörlüğünü yaparak yayına hazırladığı 2 eseri bulunmaktadır.
Aksaray’da 1973’te doğdu. Selçuk Üniv. Eğt. Fk. Türk Dili ve Edebiyatı Öğretmenliği bölümünde lisans (1996); Sakarya Üniversitesi Sos. Bil. Ens. Yeni Türk Dili anabilim dalında yüksek lisans ve aynı üniversitenin Yeni Türk Edebiyatı anabilim dalında doktora programlarını tamamladı. 1996-2007’de MEB birimlerinde öğretmen olarak çalıştı. 2007’de Selçuk Üniversitesi, Mesleki Eğitim Fakültesi’ne yardımcı doçent olarak atandı. Ardından 2007 yılında BGEU üniversitesinde (Beyaz Rusya) okutman olarak; 2011 yılında Witwatersrand üniversitesinde (Johannesburg, Güney Afrika) konuk araştırmacı olarak bulundu. 2013’te Aksaray üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi Türkçe Eğitimi Bölümü’ne geçti ve aynı yıl bölüm başkanlığına atanan Solak, Mart 2014’te doçent oldu. 2014 yılında Zhejiang üniversitesinde (Hangzhou, Çin) bir TÜBİTAK araştırması yürüttü. 2019 yılında ise halen görev yaptığı Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesi, Türkçe Eğitimi Bölümü’ne atandı. 1922 yılında aynı fakülte ve bölümde profesör kadrosuna atanan Solak, 2023 yılında 6 aylık bir görevlendirme ile Endonezya’nın Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia üniversitesinde (Bandung, Endonezya) bir TÜBİTAK araştırması yürüttü.
