MAPPING THE INTELLECTUAL STRUCTURE OF SUPPLY CHAIN DISRUPTION AND DIGITALIZATION RESEARCH: A BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS

Abstract

The aim of this study is to reveal the development trends, conceptual structure, and research gaps of the literature on supply chain disruptions and digitalization. Therefore, bibliometric methods have been employed to systematically analyze the intellectual structure of the literature. Studies obtained from Web of Science and Google Scholar databases were evaluated within the scope of the research according to the PRISMA approach and a total of 66 articles were included in the analysis. The study applied bibliometric performance analysis, thematic mapping, conceptual structure mapping, and factor analysis techniques. The results show that the literature is mainly focused on the themes of resilience, risk management, collaboration, dynamic capabilities and performance. Furthermore, emerging research areas in the literature were identified as themes, including blockchain, technology adoption, sustainability, human capital, and additive manufacturing. Factor analysis revealed that the literature is divided into five main thematic clusters. It was observed that future research is needed, particularly on the impacts of sustainability, human capital, and advanced digital technologies on operational performance.

MAPPING THE INTELLECTUAL STRUCTURE OF SUPPLY CHAIN DISRUPTION AND DIGITALIZATION RESEARCH: A BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, tedarik zinciri bozulmaları ve dijitalleşme konusundaki literatürün gelişim eğilimlerini, kavramsal yapısını ve araştırma boşluklarını ortaya koymaktır. Bu nedenle, literatürün entelektüel yapısını sistematik olarak analiz etmek için bibliyometrik yöntemler kullanılmıştır. Web of Science ve Google Scholar veritabanlarından elde edilen çalışmalar, PRISMA yaklaşımına göre araştırma kapsamında değerlendirildi ve toplamda 66 makale analize dahil edilmiştir. Çalışmada bibliyometrik performans analizi, tematik haritalama, kavramsal yapı haritalama ve faktör analizi teknikleri uygulanmıştır. Sonuçlar, literatürün esas olarak dayanıklılık, risk yönetimi, iş birliği, dinamik yetenekler ve performans temalarına odaklandığını göstermektedir. Ayrıca, literatürdeki yeni araştırma alanları, blok zinciri, teknoloji benimseme, sürdürülebilirlik, insan sermayesi ve eklemeli üretim gibi temalar olarak belirlenmektedir. Faktör analizi ise, literatürün beş ana tematik kümeye ayrıldığını ortaya koymaktadır. Gelecek araştırmalarının, özellikle sürdürülebilirlik, insan sermayesi ve ileri dijital teknolojilerin operasyonel performans üzerindeki etkileri konusunda gerekli olduğu gözlemlenmektedir.
