TÜRKİYE’DE İÇ GÖÇÜN BELİRLEYİCİLERİNİN ANALİZİ

Abstract

Türkiye’de 1950’lili yıllardan itibaren artış gösteren iç göç, nedenleri ve sonuçları dikkatli bir şekilde ele alınması gereken önemli bir sorunsal haline gelmiştir. Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu Adrese Dayalı Nüfus Kayıt Sistemi 2015 yılı sonuçlarına göre, Türkiye’de nüfusun %64.9’u doğduğu ilden farklı bir ilde ikamet etmektedir. Bu çerçevede, çalışmada, Türkiye’de iç göçün belirleyicilerinin analiz edilmesi amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla, Türkiye İstatistik Kurumu İstatiksel Bölge Birimleri Sınıflaması 2. Düzey (26 bölge) için 2008-2013 yılları verileri kullanılarak panel veri analizi yapılmıştır. Çalışmada elde edilen sonuçlara göre, kişi başına düşen gelir ve eğitim hizmetleri göçü pozitif yönde etkilerken,  tarım sektörü istihdam oranı ve enflasyon oranı göçü negatif yönde etkilemektedir. Diğer taraftan, işsizlik oranı ve sağlık hizmetlerinin göç üzerindeki etkisi ise istatistiksel olarak anlamsız bulunmuştur.

ANALYSIS OF THE DETERMINANTS OF INTERNAL MIGRATION IN TURKEY

Abstract

Having increased in Turkey since 1950's, internal migration has become an important problematic which should be addressed carefully with its causes and effects. According to the statistical analysis conducted in 2015 by Turkish Statistical Institute’s Address Based Population Registration System, 64.9% of the population in Turkey resides in a province other than the place of birth. In this framework, this study aims to analyze the determinants of internal migration in Turkey. For this purpose, a panel data analysis has been carried out for 2nd Level (26 regions) Turkish Statistical Institute Statistical Region Units Classification by using the data between the years of 2008-2013. According to the results, per capita income and education services affect migration positively while employment rate of the agricultural sector and inflation rate affect migration adversely. On the other hand,the impact of unemployment rate and health services on migration has been found statistically insignificant.
