Abstract
Turkish economy has hosted high amounts of foreign capital, that has created significant macroeconomic effects, after completing financial liberalization in 1989. In this study, foreign capital towards Turkey have been evaluated in terms of volume and composition by analyzing data related to 1989-2011 period of Turkish economy. In conclusion, it has been observed that capital inflows to Turkey had the characters increasing the fragilities in the economy.
Abstract
Finansal liberalizasyon sürecini tamamladığı 1989 yılından itibaren, Türkiye ekonomisine yönelik önemli makroekonomik etkiler yaratan, yüksek miktarda yabancı sermaye girişi olmuştur. Bu çalışmada Türkiye ekonomisinin 1989-2011 dönemine ilişkin verileri analiz edilerek ülkeye yönelen yabancı sermaye akımlarının gelişimi hacimsel ve kompozisyonel olarak değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuçta Türkiye’ye yönelik sermaye girişlerinin ekonomide kırılganlıkları artırıcı niteliklere sahip olduğu gözlemlenmiştir.
