The aim of this study was to investigate the validity and reliability of the Turkish form of the Revised Anxiety Scale in 4-6 year old preschool children. The participants of the study consisted of 308 children from kindergartens and preschool classes of elementary schools located in districts of İzmir. The Revised Anxiety Scale for Preschool, the Social Competence and Behavior Evaluation -30, the Social Adaptation and Skills Scale, and the Preschool Problem Behavior Scale were used to collect data. The scales were applied to the mothers of the children. In the construct validity study, the alternative models’ approach was used for confirmatory factor analysis. The results showed that the first level model of confirmatory factor analysis of the scale provided the best fit. The item analysis of the scale was adequate. It was found that there was internal consistency for the four factors and the overall level of anxiety. As a result of the study, it was found that the Turkish form of the Revised Anxiety Scale for Preschool is a valid and reliable measurement instrument that can be used in preschool education. In preschool education, the scale can be used to determine the causes of students' anxiety and to evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs.
