The general purpose of this study was to view effects of humour styles of school principals on organizational silence according to opinions of teachers in secondary school. The study was conducted using relational screening model. The universe of the study included 366 teachers in public secondary schools in Besiktas, Istanbul during 2017/2018 School Year. It was tried to reach all participants in the universe and 305 teachers took part in the study. This number accounted for 83,3% of the universe. As data collection tools, “The Humour Styles Scale” and “Organizational Silence Scale” were used. Unpaired t Test, Anova Test (One-Way Analysis of Varience Test), Pearson Correlation Analysis, Multiple Regression Analysis were used in interpreting data. When the meaningful relationships between the humor styles of school administrators and organizational silence dimensions were examined, the following results were obtained: There is a significant positive relationship between the "humorless style" of school administrators and the "teacher" and "environment" dimensions of organizational silence. There is a significant positive relationship between "rejective humor style" and "teacher" and "environment" of organizational silence. There is a significant positive relationship between the "mocking humor style" of school administrators and the "teacher" and "environment" dimensions of organizational silence. There is a significant negative relationship between the "managerial social humor" style of school managers and the "teacher" dimension of organizational silence. The following conclusions have been reached regarding the predictive impact of the organizational silence dimensions of school managers' humor styles: School managers' "rejective humor style" is organizational silences’ predictor of "teacher" and "environment" dimensions.
