Cinayet, Adli Bilimler ve Medya: Bir Vaka Tartışması

Abstract

İletişim medyasında bilimsel bir konuyu açıklayabilmek; gazeteci veya bilim insanı olmanın ötesinde bir uzmanlık gerektirir.
Bilim iletişimi günümüzde önemi gittikçe daha fazla fark edilen
bir konudur. Bilim insanları artık çalışmalarının sadece daha
fazla kişi tarafından duyulmasını değil fakat toplumda ve etkili
odaklarda tartışmalara neden olarak ilerlemelere yol açmasını
arzu etmektedirler. Bilim iletişiminin ikinci bir amacı da istenen akademik alanda çalışma yapacak yeni bilim insanlarının
kazanılması ve çalışmalar için fon sağlanmasıdır. Bilim iletişimi;
toplumun ileriye doğru gelişmesini ivmelendirmek, yeni bilim insanları ve akademik çalışmalar için fon sağlamak dışında üçüncü amacı olarak da güncel sorunlara doğru çözümler
önermeyi hedef alır. Amacımız bir “Reality Show” programında
aylarca canlı yayında konuşulan bir cinayet konusunu tartışmaya açarak Televizyonda bilimsel iletişimin önemine dikkat çekmektir. 2001 yılında vahşice işlenmiş ve kamuoyunun gündemini on yıllarca işgal ederek çözülememesi nedeni ile adalete olan
inancı sarsmış bir cinayet vakası ulusal medyada aylarca her gün
tüm boyutları ile ele alınınca dava tekrar açılmış ve yeni bilimsel
delillere ulaşılmıştır. Adli bilimler konusunda ulusal medyada
bilimsel iletişimin doğru kurulmasının, bu konuda ki gelişimi
hızlandıracağı açıkça görülmektedir.
