Development of fashion products with parametric design approach

Abstract

Recently, developments in digital technologies have enabled the emergence of new possibilities in design and production models. This situation continues to allow for the acquisition of an innovative perspective beyond the traditional understanding of design. With the development of technology in traditional design methods, it becomes possible to transform designs that are thought to be impossible and difficult to implement into products more easily and ethically. The foundation of this technology is based on activating parameters to produce complex and dynamic structures. Especially in architectural and industrial design applications, parametric design has started to find its place in the field of fashion as well. In this study; with the advancement of parametric design, 3D printing and parametric design, new digital production and modelling, which are the result of cooperation in different fields in the development of fashion and textile products, together with the work of designers and researchers, which are increasing day by day in interdisciplinary and intercultural contexts, are examined and evaluations are made for the applications of fashion products.

Parametrik tasarım yaklaşımıyla moda ürünlerinin gelişimi

Abstract

Son yıllarda dijital teknolojilerde gözlenen ilerlemeler tasarım ve üretim modellerinde yeni imkanların oluşmasını sağlamaktadır. Bu durum geleneksel tasarım anlayışının dışına çıkarak yenilikçi bir bakış açısının kazanılmasına olanak tanımaya devam etmektedir. Geleneksel tasarım yöntemlerinin teknolojinin gelişmesiyle birlikte imkansız görülen ve uygulamada güçlük yaşanabileceği düşünülen tasarımların daha kolay ve etik anlayışla ürüne dönüşmesi mümkün hale gelmektedir. Bu teknolojinin temeli, karmaşık, dinamik yapılar üretmek için parametrelerin harekete geçirilmesine dayandırılmaktadır. Özellikle mimari ve endüstriyel tasarım pratiklerinde karşımıza çıkan parametrik tasarım moda alanında da kendine yer edinmeye başlamıştır. Bu çalışmada; parametrik tasarım, 3B baskı ve parametrik tasarımın ilerlemesiyle birlikte disiplinler arası ve kültürler arası bağlamlarda her geçen gün daha fazla artan tasarımcı ve araştırmacı çalışmalarıyla birlikte moda ve tekstil ürünlerinin gelişiminde farklı alanlardaki işbirliğinin sonucu olan yeni dijital üretim ve modellemeler incelenerek moda ürünlerinin uygulamalarına yönelik değerlendirmeler yapılmıştır.
