MIGRATION OF AN INTRAUTERINE DEVICE INTO THE BLADDER AND ENDOSCOPIC TREATMENT

Year 2011, Volume: 6 Issue: 1, 53 - 56, 01.01.2011

Abstract

Intrauterine devices IUDs remain one of the main methods of choice for birth control in the world, especially in developing countries. A misplaced intrauterine device can migrate to various positions in the pelvic or intra-abdominal cavity, which may cause a range of different complications and morbidities. Uterine perforation is a rarely observed complication. The bladder is one of the organs that an IUD can migrate to because of its close proximity to the uterus. Here, we report 1 case of forgotten IUD migration into the bladder and its endoscopic treatment

MESANEYE RAHİMİÇİ ARAÇ MİGRASYONU VE ENDOSKOPİK TEDAVİSİ

Year 2011, Volume: 6 Issue: 1, 53 - 56, 01.01.2011
