Türkiye’de ailelerin enüretik çocuklarına uyguladıkları ilaç dışı tedavi yöntemleri ve oranları

Abstract

Giriş: Enürezis nokturna, toplumun önemli bir kısmını etkileyen ciddi bir sağlık sorunudur. Bu çalışmamızda Türkiye’de enürezis nokturna da uygulanan ilaç dışı tedavi yöntemlerinin sıklığını ve diğer parametrelerle ilişkisini inceledik. Gereç ve Yöntemler: Polikliniğimize primer monosemptomatik enürezis nokturna PMNE nedeniyle başvuran 303’ü erkek,’i 203’ü kız toplam 506 çocuk çalışmaya alındı. Oluşturulan sorgulama formu hasta ve ailelerine doldurtuldu. Bu formda ailenin eğitim durumu ilaç dışı tedavi yöntemleri, bunların sıklığı ve uygulama süresi sorgulandı.Bulgular: Çalışmaya alınan çocukların yaş ortalaması 9,41 3–24 idi. Bu hastalardan 459’u %90.7 enürezis nokturna nedeni ile herhangi bir ilaç dışı tedavi metoduna başvurmuşlar. Anne–babaların uyguladıkları ilaç dışı tedavi yöntemleri sıvı kısıtlaması 234 hasta %51 , çişe kaldırma 401 hasta %87 , telkin 328 hasta %71 olarak tespit edildi.Sonuç: PMNE’te çeşitli tedavi yöntemleri denenmektedir. Bu tedavilerinin başarısında ilk ve en önemli adım, çocuğun ve ailenin tedaviye motive edilmesidir. Çalışmamızda ailelerin büyük çoğunluğunun en az bir ilaç dışı tedavi yöntemi kullandığı gözlemlenmiştir

Methods and rates of non-drug treatments ımplemented by families to enuretic children in Turkey

Abstract

Objective: Nocturnal enuresis is a serious health problem affecting on most of people. In this study, we evaluated frequency of nondrug treatment methods and relationship with other parameters, which is implemented by families to enuretic children.Material and Methods: A total of 506 303 boys and 203 girls children who were admitted to our outpatient clinic with complaint of primary nocturnal enuresis PMNE were included in the study. Prepared questionnaire form inquiring educational status of the family, frequency and implementation duration of nondrug treatment methods was applied to patients and families.Results: Mean age was 9.41 years . At least one non-treatment method was applied to 459 90.7% of children with PMNE. Non-drug treatment methods of parents were detected as restriction of fluid 234 patients-51% , wake up to micturation 401 patients- 87% , giving advises 328 patients-71% .Conclusion: A lot of treatment methods have been used for PMNE. Motivation of the child and family for therapy is most important for success of the treatment. In our study, we observed that most of families were used any kind of non-drug treatment method for PMNE
