Ağrı şikayeti ile algoloji polikliniğine başvuran prostat kanserli olguların retrospektif değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Kronik ağrı şikayeti ile ağrı polikliniğine başvuran prostat kanserli hastaların ağrı tipleri ve tedavi sonuçlarının retrospektif değerlendirilmesidir.Gereç ve Yöntemler: Ocak 2000 - Aralık 2010 tarihleri arasında Ondokuz Mayıs Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Hastanesi Algoloji Bilim Dalı polikliniğine ağrı nedeni ile başvuran prostat kanseri tanısı almış olan olgular incelendi. Olguların sosyodemografik özellikleri, ağrı durumları ve uygulanan tedaviler hasta dosyalarından retrospektif olarak analiz edildi. Hastaların tamamına Dünya Sağlık Örgütü’nün WHO önerdiği basamak tedavisi uygulandı. Farmakolojik tedaviden fayda görmeyen hastalara ise invaziv girişimler uygulandı. Bulgular: Prostat kanserli hastaların yaş ortalaması 73.6±8.4 yıl idi. Hastaların %16.9’u n=46 kendi isteği ile başvururken, %83.1’i cer patients was 73.6 ± 8.4 year. While 16.9% of n=226 üroloji polikliniğinden tarafımıza refethe patients n=46 presented by their own will, re edilmişti. Hastaların %91.2’sinde n=248 kemik metastazı varken %8.8’inde n=24 metastaz izlenmedi. Hastaların %87.1’ine n=237 farmakolojik tedavi verilirken %12.9’una n=35 farmakolojik + invaziv tedavi verildiği öğrenildi. İnvaziv girişim yapılan hastaların %96.9’una n=31 epidural kateter uygulanmıştı. Sonuç: İleri evre prostat kanseri, ağrının en çok eşlik ettiği kanserlerin başında gelir. Ağrının palyasyonu hastalığın morbiditesi ile doğrudan ilgilidir. Kansere eşlik eden ağrının multidisipliner yöntemlerle tedavi edilmesi gerekmektedir

Retrospective analysis of prostate cancer patients who complain with pain and admitted to algology department

Abstract

Objective: Evaluating the types of pain and the results of treatment as retrospectively in patients with prostate cancer who apply to the Algology department with the complain of chronic pain.Material and Methods: Patients presenting to the Ondokuz Mayis University Faculty of Medicine, Department of Algology with pain and diagnosed with prostate cancer between January 2000 and December 2010 were investigated. The sociodemographic characteristics, pain status and the treatments administered were evaluated retrospectively from the patient files.
