Üretral avülsiyon; temiz aralıklı kateterizasyonun beklenmeyen bir komplikasyonu

Abstract

Temiz aralıklı kateterizasyon TAK , çeşitli alt üriner sistem disfonksiyonlarında mesanenin boşaltılması için yaklaşık 40 yıldır kullanılan bir tedavi metodudur. TAK yapan hastalarda en sık görülen komplikasyon üriner sistem enfeksiyonudur. Bir günde birçok kez katater uygulanması, temiz aralıklı kataterizasyonda da komplikasyonlarda artışa neden olabilir. Üretra darlığı ve üretral yanlış yol oluşumu, gelişebilecek muhtemel patolojilerdir. Daha önce literatürde karşılaşılmayan ve TAK sonucunda üretral avülsiyon gelişen bir hastanın olgu sunumu yapıldı. Penise ventral kısımdan bakıldığında üretral meatusun proksimal penil bölgede olduğu, buradan penisin uç kısmına kadar olan bölgede nativ üretranın kaybolduğu gözlendi

Urethral avulsion; an unexpected complicatıon of clean intermittent self-catheterization

Abstract

Clean intermittent self -catheterization CISC is a treatment method that is used approximately for 40 years for bladder evacuation in various lower urinary tract disorders. The most frequent complication in patients performing CISC is urinary tract infection. Several catheterization in the same day, rises complication rates also in the CISC. Urethral stricture and urethral false passages are potential patologies which can develop as a result of CISC. A case report of a patient, who developed an urethral avulsion due to CISC, a complication not reported previously in the literature is presented. Urethral meatus was located at the penoscrotal region and the native urethra was disappeared until the tip of the penis
