Secondary amyloidosis mimicking bladder cancer: Case report

Abstract

Amiloidoz, birçok organda ekstraselüler, hyalin, amorf ve proteinöz bir madde birikimi ile karakterizedir. Bu olgu sunumunda, primer lokalize mesane amiloidozuna göre literatürde daha az görülen, kronik obstrüktif akciğer hastalığı KOAH ’na bağlı geliştiği düşünülen ve mesane kanserini taklit eden sekonder mesane amiloidozu olgusu incelenmiştir

Abstract

Amyloidosis is characterized by deposition of extracellular, hyaline, amorphous, and proteinaceous material in various organs of the body. Herein we report a secondary bladder amyloidosis, that is rarely seen in the literature compared with primary bladder amyloidosis and thought to be developed secondary to chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and mimicking as bladder neoplasm
